UPI Autopay Mandate Notification API

Overview

Sends pre-debit notification to customer ≥24 hours (48 hours recommended) before execution. Mandatory for merchant-scheduled executions and for AS frequency (v1.1). Can be triggered max 4 days prior. Execution denied if notification not sent. Not required for auto-scheduled transactions.

Description

Sends pre-debit notification to customer at least 24 hours (48 hours recommended) prior to execution. Mandatory for merchant-scheduled executions. Mandatory for 'AS' frequency (v1.1 update). Can be triggered max 4 days prior to execution day. Execution is denied if notification is not triggered first. Not required for auto-scheduled transactions.

Prerequisites

  • Active mandate with UMN
  • Customer contact details (mobile/email)
  • Merchant / Nttdata Payment Services scheduling
  • Compliance with timing rules

Mandate Notification Attributes

This API requires Basic Authentication for access. The request must include valid credentials in the form of a username and password, which will be provided separately. Only authorized users with the correct credentials will be able to successfully authenticate and interact with the API.
